This year's National Day holiday on September 2nd will last for 4 days. According to Dan Tri reporters, on the afternoon of August 31st, at Sam Son beach ( Thanh Hoa province), the number of people swimming and relaxing was quite sparse.
Along beaches A, B, C, D, tourists did not flock as much as the same period last year, even though the weather was mildly sunny.

According to some restaurant and hotel owners, before the National Day holiday, the impact of storm No. 6 caused heavy rain in the area, making many tourists afraid to go to the beach for fear of the cold weather.
“This is the last holiday of the summer tourist season this year, but the number of visitors is lower than in previous years. Maybe many people went to Hanoi to watch the parade celebrating the 2/9 holiday, that’s why Sam Son beach is so deserted,” said a hotel owner in Sam Son ward.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Vice Chairman of Sam Son Ward People's Committee, said that the number of tourists coming to the locality this year only reached about 50% compared to 2024.

“Due to the impact of storm No. 6, along with people flocking to Hanoi to watch the parade, the number of tourists to Sam Son has decreased sharply this year. During the September 2 holiday, Sam Son ward set a target of welcoming about 400,000 visitors, but after the first two days of the holiday, the number of visitors was not high,” said Mr. Tam.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Sam Son Ward also commented that in the last two days of the holiday, the number of domestic tourists may increase.

According to statistics from the Department of Culture and Society of Sam Son Ward, the locality currently has 1,015 accommodation establishments. However, the room booking rate during the September 2 holiday only reached about 40% of the total number of rooms, not the situation of "room shortage" as in previous years.
“Before the holiday, the number of guests booking rooms was quite high. However, due to the impact of storm No. 6, many tourists canceled their bookings. Therefore, the atmosphere at Sam Son beach this year is completely different from previous years,” said a representative of the Department of Culture and Society of Sam Son Ward.
