Journey of restoring and presenting martyrs' photos

The children who fell for the Fatherland, who seemed to only exist in memories and on tombstones, are now revived through each portrait. With all the deep gratitude, the Provincial Police Women's Association has undertaken a special journey by restoring the portraits of martyrs for the families of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, relatives of officers and soldiers. This is a journey to nurture memories, preserve the youthful image of the martyrs, so that their sacrifices will forever be engraved in the hearts of today's and future generations.

Over the years, in many families, the memories of their martyrs are only death notices and faded photos. Some martyrs even left no photos, only their figures in their mothers' memories.   wife and children. Therefore,   The restored portraits of martyrs and their delivery to their relatives are not only a revival of memories, but also a sacred compensation for immeasurable losses.  

In Nguyen Van Linh commune, in a small house, the Provincial Police Women's Association presented newly restored martyrs' portraits to a family with 6 heroic children who sacrificed their lives in the resistance war against French colonialism and American imperialism. Each portrait not only clearly depicts the beloved faces but is also a vivid testament to the boundless sacrifice of an entire family that has devoted their blood and bones to national independence.   Mr. Dinh Van Hoang, son of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Do Thi Ke, shared: Looking back at the dear faces now clearly restored, I feel like I am meeting my uncles , aunts and brother again... This is not only a great comfort, but also a motivation for today's children and grandchildren to continue.   worthy of the sacrifice of previous generations.

In Cao Xa village, Quang Hung commune, the memory of Major Nguyen Dang Khai , an officer of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Quang Ninh Provincial Police, is still deeply imprinted in the hearts of his comrades and fellow countrymen. He heroically sacrificed himself while pursuing criminals, falling in peacetime, but his brave spirit has become a symbol of loyalty and complete dedication to the Fatherland and the People. In a solemn space, the portrait was restored and given to the family, deepening the immortal presence of the heroic son. Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan, sister of martyr Khai, was moved : Seeing him was like returning to his family, the familiar eyes and smile that we thought had been lost forever . My family is extremely moved and grateful for the attention of the Provincial Police Women's Association, because this is not only a photo but also a comfort and encouragement for us to continue living and contributing worthy of his noble sacrifice.

During this period, relatives of martyrs Nguyen Thua The and Nguyen Van Nang in Vu Lac commune also came.   received the portrait. The face of the heroic son who sacrificed, today is clearly present, like a return after many years of separation. Mr. Nguyen Minh Hieu, Logistics Department, Provincial Police expressed: When the Provincial Police leaders directly presented the portrait, our family was extremely moved. This is not only a photo to remember, but also the deep affection and care that the Provincial Police force has for the relatives of the officers who sacrificed. That makes us feel shared, respected and even more proud of the dedication of our relatives.

In the sacred atmosphere of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025 ) , when the whole nation turns to the Fatherland, the journey of covering the martyrs' portraits by the Provincial Police Women's Association becomes even more profound. Up to now, the Provincial Police Women's Association has presented 50 martyrs' portraits, including 28 martyrs who are children of living Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and 22 cases who are relatives of officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Head of the Committee   The Provincial Police Women's Union said: We have coordinated with the Skyline group specializing in restoring photos of martyrs nationwide to restore old, faded photos, even photos of martyrs with no documents left. The work of reviewing and collecting original documents of the martyrs as well as the process of restoring photos was carried out meticulously with the desire that relatives can fully preserve the image of the deceased. All funds we mobilized were from socialized sources, expressing the feelings and hearts of the community joining hands to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs. With each photo given, we felt the emotion, pride mixed with the choking of the family. This is the way we send our deepest gratitude to the heroic martyrs and relatives of the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Police .

The journey of restoring and presenting martyrs' photos has, is and will continue to write a beautiful story of gratitude, connecting the past with the present , so that each citizen will cherish peace more, and have more responsibility to build a country worthy of the sacrifices of heroic martyrs.
