On the afternoon of April 17 (one day before the Hung Kings' death anniversary), crowds of tourists from all over the country flocked to the Hung Temple historical relic site (Viet Tri, Phu Tho ) to offer incense and visit the scenery.

Long lines of people jostle at the entrance to Nghia Linh Mountain - the site of a complex of temples and pagodas worshipping the Hung Kings.

The group of Mr. Do The Kien (45 years old, from Da Nang ) shared: "Every 5 years we return to our homeland once. Although a bit tired, the whole group is very excited and happy to offer incense to King Hung."

The family of Mr. Kieu Van Mien (94 years old, from Thach That, Hanoi ) returns to Phu Tho every year to burn incense on the occasion of the Hung King's death anniversary. Mr. Mien said: "Although I am old and weak, I still want to personally burn incense at the Upper Temple". Mr. Mien's family shared: "My father is old and his legs are very weak, so he has to stop and rest constantly. When he said he wanted to go to the Hung King's death anniversary with the whole family this year, we discussed and decided to take him to make him happy. Seeing him happy, we were also happy".

The Dao ethnic group spent more than 5 hours traveling from Tuyen Quang to Hung Temple this morning. According to the group: "For the past 3 years, every time the Hung Temple Anniversary comes, we visit Hung Temple."

The Ha Temple yard area at 4:30 pm was packed with visitors offering incense.

The offering area was also full.

Some visitors open sample prayers online to worship from afar outside the temple yard.

Tourists stopped in large numbers at Gieng Temple (the final stop of the journey to Hung Temple relic site).

On the grassy area along the foot of Nghia Linh Mountain (the way to Hung Temple), many sidewalk shops have opened additional businesses offering mat rental services to serve the needs of tourists. The rental price is about 30,000 VND/hour.

Mr. Do The Kien (45 years old, from Phuc Tho District, Hanoi) has been going to Hung Temple for many years on the occasion of the Hung Kings' death anniversary and brought his own mat to rest on the grass. My whole family arrived at the foot of the mountain around noon today, conveniently spread out the mat to rest and eat to regain strength for the afternoon trip up the mountain to offer incense," Mr. Kien shared.

Electric car service from the parking lot to Hung Temple is also quite popular. The average price is about 10,000 - 20,000 VND/person, depending on the destination, each car carries 15-25 passengers.
