Hai Phong lifts sea ban from 10am today

Activities in Hai Phong estuaries and seaports are allowed to resume from 10:00 a.m. on August 26, 2025.

On August 26, the Hai Phong City Civil Defense Command issued Notice No. 485 on lifting the ban on certain activities in the estuaries and seaports of the city because storm No. 5 (KAJIKI) had weakened into a tropical depression and moved into Central Laos.

Accordingly, from 10:00 a.m. on August 26, 2025, the ban on tourist boats and fishing boats going to sea; and fishing activities in estuaries, coastal areas, and islands in Hai Phong city will be lifted.

Tourism and entertainment activities in coastal areas, islands, Dong Bai - Cai Vieng ferry terminal and Cat Hai - Phu Long cable car route will resume normal operations from 10:00 a.m. on August 26, 2025.

Previously, to prevent storm No. 5, the city's Civil Defense Command announced the suspension of activities in river mouths and estuaries from 1 p.m. on August 24.
