Hai Phong recognizes Viet Hai Community Tourism Site

Hai Phong City People's Committee issued Decision No. 1914/QD-UBND on recognizing Viet Hai Community Tourism Site.

Decision to recognize Viet Hai Community Tourism Site in Viet Hai Commune, Cat Hai District, Hai Phong City. Hai Phong City People's Committee assigns Viet Hai Commune People's Committee to be responsible for organizing the management, exploitation, operation, maintaining conditions, and developing Viet Hai Community Tourism Site in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Tourism and other relevant laws.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and work with the Departments and branches: Construction, Agriculture and Environment, Industry and Trade, Health, City Police and relevant agencies based on their functions and tasks, to guide, inspect and supervise Viet Hai Community Tourism Site in organizing the management, exploitation and investment in developing Viet Hai Community Tourism Site, ensuring efficiency and sustainability, in accordance with the provisions of law.

According to the application for recognition of Viet Hai Community Tourism Site, compared with Article 23 of the Law on Tourism, Article 11 of Decree No. 168/2017/ND-CP of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Tourism; Viet Hai Community Tourism Site meets the conditions of a tourist site.

In terms of resources, Viet Hai is located in the Northeast of Vietnam, in the inner buffer zone of Cat Ba National Park with characteristics such as: majestic mountains and forests, beautiful landscapes, many fertile valleys, and streams flowing all year round.

Biodiversity is a prominent feature of Viet Hai, a tourism resource and an advantage for local development. Viet Hai commune has advantages in terms of geographical location, natural landscape, and ecological environment. This place has a very unique charming beauty and especially preserves historical and cultural values; it is a destination for nature lovers, looking for wildness and simplicity. With a diverse and rich natural ecosystem and the simple life of the indigenous people, it has created a special ancient village.

In recent years, Viet Hai people have also begun to approach and develop tourism. Many households have switched to homestay or tour guide, electric car business to pick up and drop off guests, motorbike rental for guests to move from the boat dock to the village. Thanks to that, people's lives have also changed a lot, income is more stable than before. Viet Hai has emerged as an ideal local community tourism destination, attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists.
