A pair of 18-year-old twin sisters got engaged to two 22-year-old twin brothers in Hunan province, China, attracting the attention of netizens.

A video shared on the Douyin platform has attracted the attention of 4 million users. The video recorded the scene of two couples who looked similar, wearing similar outfits at an engagement ceremony held in early February in Hunan province, China.

The video was shared by a matchmaker surnamed Liu. She is also a relative of the 22-year-old twin brothers and the godmother of the 18-year-old twin sisters in the video.

Two sets of twins got engaged on the same day, delighting Chinese netizens.

Ms. Liu introduced them to each other in February last year. The older sister quickly started dating the older brother. Then, the younger sister also gradually developed a romantic relationship with the younger brother.

After a period of getting to know each other, two sisters living in Hunan visited two brothers who were working in Zhejiang province. During their time together, the two brothers took good care of them, making them decide to spend their whole lives together.

Liu expressed that it was fate that brought these two unique couples together. "It's rare to see twins falling in love and marrying another pair of twins," she shared.

Liu added that both families were happy with the matchmaking, although the girls' parents were sad that both their daughters would be getting married and leaving home at the same time. According to Chinese tradition, married women are expected to move to their husband's home.

Many people are concerned that the two girls are too young to think about marriage.

Liu also revealed that the two couples are planning to get married later this year or early next year, as the sisters are still under 20 years old, the legal age for women to marry in China.
