Hanoi: Simplify procedures for admission to grade 6

GD&TD - If the application for admission to grade 6 meets the requirements, schools can accept it immediately after parents successfully register online.

According to the schedule of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, from July 7 to 9, parents will complete online enrollment procedures for their children to enter grade 6 for the 2025-2026 school year. From July 12 to 18, secondary schools in the city will conduct direct enrollment.

Create maximum convenience for parents

Bringing her child to register early, Ms. Bui Thi Vui, a permanent resident of building S2.01 (Vinhomes Smart City Urban Area, Tay Mo Ward) shared that the reason she chose Tay Mo 3 Secondary School for her child to study at was because although it is a new school, the management staff and teachers are very dedicated to their profession and have many years of teaching experience. After many efforts to overcome difficulties, in the recent 10th grade entrance exam organized by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the school had 48% of students achieving a total of 24 points or more.

"The first time I brought my child here to perform at the 2024-2025 school year closing ceremony, I noticed that the students were very well-behaved; the facilities were as spacious as those of private schools. The school also has supplementary programs to help students maximize their talents such as English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese depending on each student's strengths. Ms. Luong Van Thanh, reflecting in building S3.03 (Vinhomes Smart City Urban Area, Tay Mo Ward), said that the process of filling out enrollment information, receiving application documents, registering textbooks and student uniforms was carried out smoothly and quickly. Although her daughter was qualified to enter grade 6 at two high-quality secondary schools in the city, Ms. Thanh still sent her child to study at Tay Mo Secondary School because it was close to home and she believed in the school's strategy.

As a singer, actor, VTV3 MC, and the champion of Super Idol Kids, Bui Nguyen Gia Bao (stage name Muoi Dubai) confided that as soon as he came here to perform, he felt the warmth and friendliness from the security guard to the teachers, and the enthusiastic welcome from the students. At Dong La Secondary School (An Khanh, Hanoi), the reception, guidance for parents to fill out information and complete online enrollment procedures are implemented synchronously. Parents can ask the school's enrollment staff to answer questions and complete the steps to submit their children's application for grade 6.

Ms. Tran Minh Hang, reflected in La Tinh village, An Khanh commune, commented: "This year, my family has a child entering grade 6 but has received information on how to register for admission since the end of the 5th grade school year. When coming here, the teachers enthusiastically supported us with the procedures in a way that created the most favorable conditions to help us not have to travel a lot."

According to Mr. Tran Dang Luc - Principal of Dong La Secondary School, this year this unit was assigned to enroll 329 students in grade 6. Following the direction of the city's Departmentof Education and Training, with qualified applications according to regulations, the school will immediately accept them to help parents reduce travel costs.

"As usual, this year when enrolling their children, parents need to prepare a valid copy of their birth certificate (bring the original for comparison); Photocopies of the father and mother's ID cards do not need to be notarized. The school will issue an application form for admission to grade 6 with a record of file delivery for parents to write and sign to confirm the completion of the entire registration process for their children," said Mr. Tran Dang Luc.
