Arsenal fans have been sharing a song called "Push It" by Salt-N-Pepa, which includes the line: "I left my girlfriend to play in red and white." This line reminds Gunners fans of Gyokeres' relationship with Spanish actress, Ines Aguiar.
According to Portuguese media, Gyokeres ended his relationship with Ines before moving to Arsenal this summer. The Swedish star told his ex-girlfriend that he "didn't want anything tied down in Portugal", thereby showing his determination to move to the Premier League. Although they have not spoken out about the breakup, the two still follow each other on social media.
Speaking about the song that has gone viral among Arsenal fans, Gyokeres said: “They have been amazing. The fans have given me great support both on and off the pitch. I am very grateful for that."
However, when asked directly about the content of the song, the 27-year-old striker hesitated before answering: "I have no comment on the song."
Gyokeres scored his first brace for Arsenal in a 5-0 win over Leeds United in the second round of the Premier League on August 23. However, he failed to score in the two big matches against MU and Liverpool.
