TPO - Nearly 100 people from many forces in Mon Son commune (Con Cuong district, Nghe An) were mobilized to work with local people to dismantle old houses and build new houses for households in difficult circumstances.

Authorities support the demolition of dilapidated old houses and the construction and repair of new houses for Dan Lai ethnic households in the core area of Pu Mat National Park (Con Cuong district, Nghe An ).

Over the past two days, functional forces in Mon Son commune (Con Cuong district, Nghe An) have simultaneously mobilized to help the Dan Lai ethnic group in the core area of Pu Mat National Park dismantle old houses and prepare to build new ones under the program of building houses for poor households and households with housing difficulties.

Specifically, in Co Phat village and Khe Bung village (Mon Son commune), there are a total of 73 households eligible for support to remove temporary houses, build new ones, and repair houses to settle down.

To support households in dismantling houses, moving assets, and leveling the ground, functional forces in Mon Son commune have made a detailed plan. Specifically, the first phase of support took place from June 12 to 15 with nearly 100 people from many functional forces such as: authorities at all levels, Border Guard, military , police, Pu Mat National Park officials, organizations and local communities.

In the first phase, the forces will support the demolition of houses and relocation of property for 19 households in Co Phat village.

The houses of the households are mainly made of temporary wood and roofed with bamboo and thatch.

Household items and assets are supported to move.

Most of the old house materials are temporary, so after demolition, it will be difficult to reuse.

In addition to demolishing old houses, authorities will set up temporary shelters for residents to stay in while building new houses.

Officers and soldiers of Mon Son Border Post, youth union members and functional forces leveled the ground for people to prepare to build new houses.

Mr. Le Thanh Hai - Secretary of the Party Committee of Mon Son commune said that according to the district's plan, it is expected to mobilize all local forces to help people remove temporary houses and build new ones. The forces will strive to complete the project on time.

It is known that Dan Lai ethnic households will be supported to build a 50m2 house model with a total support amount of 90 million VND. The house construction model is implemented according to the design approved by Nghe An Department of Construction.

In addition, 20 houses in Khe Bung and Co Phat villages are supported with repairs with a minimum amount of 45 million VND/house.

The authorities are striving to repair and build new houses for the two villages of Co Phat and Khe Bung before August 15, 2025. In the photo, Mr. La Van Nam's house is gradually being completed with the support of the authorities.
