Flower Festival City Teachers compete in flower bicycle decoration

For the first time, theeducation sector of Da Lat City (Lam Dong) organized a flower bicycle decoration contest for teachers from schools in the area to celebrate the Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024.

On November 30, at the Lam Vien Square fountain area, Da Lat City, the "Decorating flower bicycles from recycled materials" contest took place to celebrate the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024. The contest attracted 75 schools at preschool, primary and secondary levels in Da Lat City to participate.

The organizers stipulate that the materials used to decorate the flower bicycles are recycled items or locally available materials to raise public awareness about reducing waste and spreading the message of environmental protection to everyone.

Teachers from different schools were eager to show their creativity in decorating flower bicycles. Each flower bicycle has a theme related to flowers, Da Lat specialty fruits; unique architectural works of Da Lat mountain town. Besides, there are also dove-shaped bicycle models - a symbol of peace to convey the message of environmental protection.

The flower bicycles were taken one by one across the fountain for the judges and the public to admire. At the same time, representatives from the schools explained the materials used and the meaning of the decorative symbols on the flower bicycles.

A female teacher from Hung Vuong Primary School impressed everyone with her purple ao dai and flower bicycle decorated with the purple phoenix flower, a typical flower of Da Lat. A female teacher from Ta Nung Kindergarten wore ethnic costumes with a bicycle decorated with a model of a stilt house and yellow wild sunflowers, which grow abundantly in the area.

Kindergarten 7 with its white dove and wild sunflower models made from recycled materials has delighted many people.

At the end of the contest, the organizing committee awarded 2 first prizes to the work "Mobile Dalat Flower Garden" of Doan Thi Diem Primary School and the work "Da Lat - Love Sky" of Anh Dao Kindergarten. 4 flower bicycle works that won second prizes were awarded to Kindergarten 4, Kindergarten 11, Hien Linh Kindergarten and the Center for Supporting the Development of Community Integration Education in Lam Dong Province. In addition, the organizing committee also awarded 6 third prizes and 15 consolation prizes to other works.
