Creative Advertising Awards 2025 Promotes Ethics, Tightens AI Control

The Vietnam Creative Advertising Awards - Van Xuan Awards 2025 was officially launched with many new highlights, clearly reflecting the spirit of transformation of the advertising industry in the digital age.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Vietnam Advertising Association to direct and organize the launch of the Vietnam Creative Advertising Award - Van Xuan Awards 2025.

From advertising ideas to social responsibility

Journalist and director Nguyen Truong Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Advertising Association and Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized that creative advertising is not only a tool to convey a brand but also an ethical commitment, demonstrating responsibility to society. He believes that the Vietnam Creative Advertising Award 2025 is a national playground, honoring individuals and organizations that dare to be different, spreading Vietnamese values ​​with heart and intelligence.

Responding to reporters at the launching press conference (July 9 in Hanoi ), Ms. Ninh Thi Thu Huong, Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library, said that recently, tightening advertising content has become an urgent requirement, especially in the context of many media products being reflected falsely, affecting public trust. The Government has issued a number of directives, and management agencies have also provided professional guidance to gradually improve the quality and professional ethics in the advertising field.

The press conference was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Truong Son - Chairman of Vietnam Advertising Association, Head of the Organizing Committee; Ms. Ninh Thi Thu Huong - Director and Ms. Vi Thanh Hoai - Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library; Mr. Tran Viet Tan - Vice Chairman of Vietnam Advertising Association.

She shared that in the last two seasons, all the works selected for the four award categories did not violate any legal regulations or receive any complaints. This shows the initial effectiveness of the control of the contest content as well as the role of the jury in ensuring transparency, integrity and compliance with the law.

Regarding concerns about advertising using AI technology, especially on digital platforms and social networks, Ms. Huong said that the organizing committee has set up a specialized subcommittee to monitor this trend, preventing the technology from being abused to "polish" products or distort the truth about quality and uses - which has caused many public consequences. The goal is to control risks while still encouraging responsible creativity.

Ms. Huong emphasized that when judging the awards, the organizing committee always invites domestic and international experts to have a multi-dimensional and objective view. Creativity is limitless, but must be within the framework of ethics and law, especially in the advertising industry - a field closely linked to consumer trust and choice.

In the 2025 season, the categories for young talents will continue to be maintained and developed, creating opportunities for students and young people with a passion for creativity to put their ideas into practice.

Positioning Vietnam on the creative advertising map of Asia

The Vietnam Creative Advertising Awards – Van Xuan Awards 2025 is an important highlight in the national cultural industry development strategy and the "Vietnam Creative Advertising Awards" project for the period 2020-2030 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. After two successful seasons with more than 2,200 works and nearly 200 experts participating in the judging, this year the award expanded its scale, aiming to connect the Asian creative community and reach out to the international market.

In 2025, the award will have 52 categories, divided into 3 groups: Van Xuan Classic (10 awards, including Grand Prix - Best Advertising); Van Xuan (39 awards, for outstanding brands, agencies, production houses and individuals) and Van Xuan Stars (3 awards, honoring young talents, especially students with creative ideas for practical application).

The award will be accepted from July to October 20, 2025; the final round will be from October 30 to November 10. The award ceremony will be held at Nguyen Hue walking street (HCMC) from December 19-21, combining a series of exhibitions, talks, seminars and art performances.
