"I Love Vietnam" Golf Tournament 3rd - 2025: Journey of serving the community

On the afternoon of June 28, more than 150 golfers gathered at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course to participate in the 3rd "I Love Vietnam" Golf Tournament - 2025 organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.

The event is not only a place for exciting competition and healthy sports exchanges, but also a place for humanity to gather, where swings carry messages of sharing and connecting the community.

Since its first organization in September 2023, the "I Love Vietnam" Golf Tournament has quickly established its reputation and unique mark in the professional and amateur golfer community in Ho Chi Minh City and many provinces and cities across the country. The difference in the golf tournament organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper is the connection between athletes, creating a fun and friendly competition atmosphere with a spirit of exchange and learning.

Held to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the founding of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper (July 28, 1975 - July 28, 2025), and to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the tournament contributes to maintaining a useful playground for golfers nationwide.

This year, the Organizing Committee continues to improve the quality with strict competition regulations, referees with domestic and foreign certificates, ensuring fairness and transparency for each round.

All proceeds from the prize, after deducting the organization costs, will be contributed to two social and community service programs with humanitarian and service significance, including: "Proud of the National Flag" Program and "Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper Scholarship" Program.

Not only stopping at technical golf courses, this tournament left a deep impression with humanitarian activities.

At the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee of the program "Wings of Love" of the Newspaper "Nguoi Lao Dong" presented the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Agent Orange Victims with 100 million VND (from the profit from the sale of the book "30 Years of Journalism" by author - journalist - Dr. To Dinh Tuan, Editor-in-Chief of the Newspaper "Nguoi Lao Dong"); and also presented 5 victims of Agent Orange with 1 gift and 1 million VND each.

The program "Circle of Love" of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper aims to raise funds and support workers, civil servants, and laborers in especially difficult circumstances, especially those with serious illnesses.

In addition, 50 million VND was awarded to students who are children of members of the Ho Chi Minh City Former Police Association - continuing the charitable journey of the "Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper Scholarship" program. Since 2022, the "Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper Scholarship" program has helped thousands of small dreams in 40 provinces and cities across the country, with nearly 15 billion VND and 1,000 bicycles given to ethnic minority and poor students.

Representatives of Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank presented 100 million VND - equivalent to 625 books "Imprints of 30 years of journalism" by author To Dinh Tuan - Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper; leaders of Tan Son Nhat Golf Course supported the program "Circle of Love" with 50 million VND - equivalent to 310 books "Imprints of 30 years of journalism" to support the program "Circle of Love".

These books were authorized by the Lao Dong Newspaper to be given to officers and soldiers on the front lines, protecting the borders and islands, as a word of gratitude and encouragement from the warm home front.

This year's "I Love Vietnam" Golf Tournament witnessed the responsible participation of many businesses, organizations, and even influential figures in society.

The organizers presented flowers and thank you letters to the units.

During the Gala night, the Lao Dong Newspaper awarded Honorary Membership certificates to many leaders, generals and intellectuals who have made great contributions to the country. This is not only a personal honor, but also a symbol of the connection between sports, media and community service.
