At 9:35 a.m. on June 6, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police received a fire report at the Co May chicken hotpot business, 75 Hau Giang, Ward 2, District 6, so they mobilized the KV6 Fire Prevention and Rescue Team with 3 specialized fire trucks and 18 officers to the scene to put out the fire.

At this time, there were 3 people trapped inside the shop screaming for help. The rescue team arrived at the scene, rescued 3 people safely and guided 4 others to escape. After nearly 30 minutes, the fire was under control.
The chicken hotpot restaurant operates in a 6-story building, the fire area is the kitchen. The investigation revealed that the cause of the fire was due to carelessness while cooking.
