Attending the program were more than 20 delegates who were journalists and reporters from news agencies in and outside the province.



The delegation surveyed tourist attractions: Lan Rung brocade village cluster, Hotel De La Coupole, Cat Cat community tourism site, Sa Pa Jade hill, Topas Ecolodge.
Within the framework of the program, reporters and journalists had the opportunity to discuss and learn about the green and sustainable tourism development strategy of tourist establishments; issues raised related to ecological environment protection, application of renewable energy in tourism operations; the use of local human resources to improve service quality and create livelihoods for local people.


In particular, at the Lan Rung brocade craft village cluster and the Cat Cat community tourism site, delegates discussed with artisans and traders about preserving indigenous cultural values in the context of tourism development; the role of the media in spreading the message of "responsible tourism", contributing to preserving the cultural identity and unique natural ecosystem of the Northwest highlands.


The program aims to strengthen the connection between press agencies and the local tourism industry, introduce potential, new tourism products and green tourism models, thereby promoting the image of Lao Cai tourism to domestic and international tourists.
