(HNMO) - On May 25, the price of SJC gold bars decreased by VND100,000/tael in the selling direction, marking the fourth consecutive day of decline; the price of gold rings decreased more sharply with a decrease of VND200,000/tael.
At nearly 9:00 a.m., Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed the price of SJC gold bars at VND66.45 million/tael (buy) - VND67.05 million/tael (sell), down VND50,000/tael each way compared to the end of May 24. Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company reduced VND100,000/tael each way, to VND66.45 million/tael (buy) - VND67 million/tael (sell). Meanwhile, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited reduced the buying price by VND50,000/tael, down to VND66.42 million/tael; kept the selling price unchanged at VND66.98 million/tael.
Thus, this is the fourth consecutive day that the price of precious metals has decreased, decreasing by a total of about 350,000 VND/tael.
Regarding the price of gold rings, businesses adjusted the price down more sharply. For example, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed the price of gold rings of 1-5 chi at 55.75 million VND/tael (buy) - 56.7 million VND/tael (sell) and gold rings of 0.5 chi at 55.75 million VND/tael (buy) - 56.8 million VND/tael (sell), lower than the end of the previous day by 100,000 VND/tael each way. Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company reduced the price by 150,000 VND/tael (buy) and 200,000 VND/tael (sell), listing the price at 55.7 million VND/tael (buy) - 56.7 million VND/tael (sell).
Domestic gold prices have fallen due to the impact of the international market. Last night, gold prices fell sharply to $1,960/ounce amid the increase in the USD price. By 9am, the trading price was at $1,956.8/ounce, which is about VND11.1 million/tael lower than the domestic gold price.
