Domestic gold prices increased in the opening session this morning (June 26) while exchange rates at commercial banks slightly decreased.
At 9:15 a.m., Saigon Jewelry Company and Doji Company both listed the price of SJC gold at 117.8-119.8 million VND/tael. At Phu Quy Company, the price of SJC gold was announced at 116.8-119.5 million VND/tael.
Thus, the price of SJC gold this morning increased by 300,000 VND per tael compared to the previous session's close.
Meanwhile, the price of gold rings at Phu Quy Company is listed from 113.5-116.5 million VND/tael (buy/sell), an increase of 300,000 VND/tael; while the price of gold rings at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company increased by 500,000 VND/tael, the new price is from 115.0-118.0 million VND/tael.
With the same development, the world gold price only increased slightly. Accordingly, this precious metal inched up to 3,331 USD/ounce, up nearly 3 USD compared to the same time in the previous session. This price is equivalent to 105.6 million VND/tael when converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank .
This morning, the State Bank listed the central exchange rate at 25,053 VND/USD, down 2 VND compared to the previous session. With a margin of +/-5%, BIDV Bank listed from 25,990-26,305 VND/USD (buy/sell); Vietcombank announced the USD exchange rate from 25,985-26,305 VND/USD, down 2 VND.
Similarly, Agribank traded from 25,985-26,305 VND/USD, down 2 VND, while Vietinbank traded from 25,982-26,282 VND/USD (buy/sell), down 5 VND compared to the previous session./.
