Impressive "Brocade Dance" Fashion Show in Sa Pa

The event is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The program has the participation of many prominent faces: Miss Vietnam Tourism 2024, Sa Pa Tourism Ambassador Pham Thi Ngoc Quynh; Top 5 Miss Northwest Tourism 2023 Co Phuong Anh; famous models: Khanh Van, Ngoc Minh... and ambassadors inspiring national identity.

From early evening, despite the heavy rain, the atmosphere at Sa Pa Street was still vibrant and colorful. The appearance of child model Bao An – a familiar face on many major catwalks – created an interesting highlight, starting an impressive fashion night.

“Brocade Dance” takes viewers on a journey to discover the identity of Sa Pa's ethnic groups through unique collections.

The opening is “Imprints of 5 ethnic groups” with traditional wedding costumes of Mong, Dao, Tay, Giay, Xa Pho. Each costume not only demonstrates sophisticated brocade weaving techniques, but is also associated with the customs, habits and aspirations for happiness of the people in the mountains and forests.

The atmosphere of the show became brilliant with the collection “Red Shadow of the Sacred Mountain” inspired by the Dao people’s coming-of-age ceremony. Next, the collection “Mi Anh Son Cuoc” depicted the image of Mi – a symbol of the desire for freedom and the proud beauty of Mong women.

In addition, the audience also enjoyed a collection of modernized ao dai made from brocade material, where the colors of Mong, Dao, Tay, Giay, Xa Pho blend with the soft shape of Vietnamese ao dai.

In addition, the “Noong oi” collection brings the typical charm of Thai girls with the Pieu scarf - a meaningful cultural symbol.

Interspersed between the performances were special music and dance performances that made the festival atmosphere more exciting.

The program ended with the performance “Colourful Convergence” with the simultaneous appearance of beauty queens, models, artisans and designers. The stage became a multi-coloured, sparkling picture, conveying the message of solidarity, cultural exchange and pride in national identity.
