
Trains from Hanoi to Lao Cai during the first two days of the holiday were always packed with passengers. According to Lao Cai Railway Station, since the beginning of the year, Lao Cai station has welcomed nearly 120,000 passengers, an increase of 140% over the same period, of which international passengers accounted for nearly 80%. The sharp increase in train passengers not only brought joy to the railway industry but also helped the tourism industry grow rapidly.

On the journey from Hanoi to Lao Cai, trains take tourists through lush green rice fields, poetic rivers and majestic mountains, bringing a feeling of relaxation and closeness to nature.
Maria Lopez, a tourist from Spain, eagerly shared: I really enjoyed this train ride. The scenery outside was beautiful, I could see the mountains and forests through the small window. This was a great way before starting my trip to explore Sa Pa.

In addition, the improvement in service quality on the trains is also highly appreciated by passengers. New, clean, comfortable train cars with attentive service have left a good impression on every tourist. Some luxury tourist trains also have modern sleeping compartments, helping passengers to rest comfortably before starting their journey to explore new lands.
Travel agencies also arranged tour guides and shuttle buses to the train station to pick up guests to Sa Pa and other famous tourist destinations such as Bac Ha and Y Ty. Hotels, motels and homestays in the province all recorded a high number of room reservations, with many places fully booked before the holiday.

Pham Quang Minh, owner of a homestay in Sa Pa Ward, said: International visitors are returning in large numbers, especially those traveling in groups or families. Not only do they stay longer, they are also very interested in experiential activities such as trekking, visiting markets and learning about the culture of ethnic minorities.
The influx of international tourists during the National Day holiday on September 2 is a positive sign for Lao Cai’s tourism industry, especially in the context of the locality’s efforts to regain growth momentum. The improvement of the quality of transport infrastructure, including the Hanoi-Lao Cai railway, and increasingly professional tourism services have helped Lao Cai maintain its position as an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
