Research on 2 railway lines with investment capital of more than 110,000 billion VND

(BDO) On the afternoon of June 29, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the 105th meeting of the Provincial People's Committee. Also attending were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Bui Minh Thanh, Bui Minh Tri and leaders of departments, branches and localities.

Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

The meeting approved a number of important contents: Draft contract signing for the investment project to build Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 from Thu Bien Bridge to Saigon River (Phase 1) under the public-private partnership (PPP) method; Construction zoning plan (scale 1/2,000) for the mechanical engineering industrial park; Draft Decision on establishing An Binh 7 industrial cluster (Tam Lap commune, Phu Giao district).

The meeting also approved the progress report on the construction of the pre-feasibility study report of two important railway projects of the province according to the planning, namely urban railway line No. 2, which has been approved for investment policy. Accordingly, Metro line No. 2 with a total length of nearly 22km, a design speed of 120km/h, has its starting point connecting to station S5 of metro line No. 1 in Phu My ward, Thu Dau Mot city and its ending point is Km 21-865 in Vinh Phu ward, Thuan An city connecting to Metro line No. 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, with a total estimated investment of more than VND 50,000 billion; the Di An - Bau Bang railway line has a total length of more than 52km, with a total investment of more than VND 64,148 billion.

The meeting also gave opinions on a number of contents related to the list of documents requesting approval of investors for industrial cluster, urban area and residential area projects that have been considered by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee.

Leaders of departments, branches and localities spoke at the meeting

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the determination of departments, branches and sectors in basically completing the pre-feasibility study of the two projects Metro Line No. 2 and Di An - Bau Bang railway. At the same time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that along with Metro Line No. 1, which is awaiting the National Assembly's approval, the two above-mentioned projects, developed according to the TOD model, will in the future complete the multi-connecting transport infrastructure, creating development momentum for the new Ho Chi Minh City area as well as for the whole region.

Overview of the meeting

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh basically agreed with the draft contents presented at the meeting, and emphasized that for key projects such as: investment project to build Tan An urban complex, software technology park, expert housing area... and other projects, it is necessary to urgently complete related procedural documents for early implementation.
