Rice prices in the Mekong Delta remained stable, fluctuating around VND5,700-6,100/kg depending on the variety. Meanwhile, the export price of 5% broken rice decreased slightly to USD415-420/ton due to increased international competition.
Domestic Robusta coffee beans reached 128,000 - 130,000 VND/kg, benefiting from the London floor price. Pepper prices continued to remain high, commonly at 140,000 - 144,000 VND/kg, in the context of a slight increase in the international market, especially for white pepper.
In the seafood group, white-leg shrimp prices increased to 78,000 - 100,000 VND/kg, while black tiger shrimp of 20 pieces/kg reached 220,000 - 225,000 VND/kg thanks to the recovery of processing and export demand.
On the contrary, the price of raw pangasius in the Mekong Delta continues to be low, only 28,500 - 29,000 VND/kg, lower than the production cost by about 2,000 - 3,000 VND/kg, causing great difficulties for farmers.
Notably, durian prices have dropped sharply. The good Ri6 in the West is now 60,000 - 65,000 VND/kg, while the bulky type is only 48,000 - 50,000 VND/kg. In some regions of the East and Central Highlands, the price of Ri6 has dropped to 25,000 - 30,000 VND/kg. The main harvest season, combined with difficulties in exporting to China, has prevented prices from recovering.
Overall, the agricultural and aquatic product market continues to be differentiated. High-value export products such as coffee, pepper, and shrimp remain positive, while fruits and tra fish are under pressure from oversupply and consumption is difficult.
