- Congratulations to Giang Thanh for making it into the top 25 and appearing in the final round of Miss Vietnam 2024. How did you feel when you received this news?
+ I felt overwhelmed with happiness. I myself did not expect that I could go so far and deep in this competition. At that moment, I realized that all the efforts in each stage of my journey had paid off. My family was there and shared my joy.
Honestly, when my name was called near the end, I was nervous and worried. But I believe in my efforts, in constantly learning, improving and spreading myself. So when my name was called, I felt like I had a small victory on my journey to Miss Vietnam. I always believe that every effort will reap success.
- Through the recent final round, what is your biggest gain?
+ In the final round, I gained a lot of practical experience, learned and improved my performance skills, from posing to facial expressions for each different part of the competition, each point of view into the camera to capture the moment. It is also a necessary skill to create a first impression, touching the eyes and emotions of the judges as well as the audience. Every day, I also spend time practicing badminton to improve my physical strength and reflexes, along with the ability to speak in front of a crowd fluently and systematically.
Winning the crown is one of the big goals in life, so I, like all of you, will try my best, not only to become the perfect version of myself but also to turn it into the most fulfilling moment of my beautiful youth.
- It is known that you like wearing Ao Dai and recently you had the opportunity to perform in Ao Dai in your hometown of Quang Ninh . How do you feel?
+ Every time I put on the traditional Ao Dai of my nation, I feel very excited, honored and proud. Even more special is that I get to perform in Ao Dai in Ha Long, where I was born and raised. And the performance space is Quang Ninh Museum, which preserves many unique heritage values through artifacts, with gentle melodies from unique songs related to Ha Long... From there, we hope that visitors will be able to imagine and feel more deeply about a heritage Ha Long - a unique wonder in the land of Quang Ninh - a miniature Vietnam. I am very proud of my homeland, the place where I was born and wish to spread my love for my homeland through the Ao Dai heritage.
- What is your biggest motivation for participating in this competition?
+ For me, my parents, friends, and hometown are great sources of motivation and encouragement in the journey of Miss Vietnam 2024. As the only contestant from Quang Ninh to reach the finals, I want to convey the cultural, historical and beautiful values of my hometown to the contest. I have been trained at a cultural school, so I believe that as a tour guide, I can convey to young people knowledge about the history, significance of the relics and scenic spots of my hometown Quang Ninh in particular, and Vietnam in general.
In particular, I was very touched when my grandmother, who is 75 years old this year, was determined to come from her hometown of Quang Ninh to Hue to cheer for her granddaughter in the beauty pageant. She and everyone in my family planned to go to Hue early, a total of 10 people.
- Before entering the final night, what were your thoughts?
+ When entering the contest, you must have high spirits. You must believe that you will win and receive the most deserving titles. That is not only a reward but also a recognition for your efforts. Giving up are two words that I never thought of when entering the Miss 2024 contest. During that journey, the companionship of everyone from family, friends, compatriots, and colleagues was a strong source of spiritual encouragement, helping me grow up a lot.
I have changed like today because I have experienced and grown up with you guys every day. When cooperating, chatting, sharing with you contestants, I feel in you an abundant source of energy to have a comfortable spirit after long days of activities. I myself learn a lot from all the contestants. Of course, it is a contest so some people will continue, some will stop, some will be sad to the point of tears. But everyone still encourages each other, accompanying each other on the next journey.
- Is there any emotional memory from this competition that you would like to share?
+ That was when I gave out rice to everyone. I saw people waiting for me, some had just come home from work, some were in wheelchairs. At that time, I thought that when I came to the competition, I had to try to spread and send a lot of love and hope to be welcomed by everyone. That was the most memorable moment.
I want the competition to last longer so that my fellow contestants and I can bond longer, spending all our time together to wait for the final night. Before, I just wanted to try my best alone, but now you have changed me, I share with my friends from thoughts to actions and we all want to grow up together. I really appreciate this feeling.
- And of course you will think about your family before each round?
+ I think about my mother. She is the person I love the most. My father is the person I care about the most. My father is the person I am most influenced by. My father always takes on the burden and tries his best in silence. He doesn't say it, but I can feel his love. All that encouragement is like wings that help me fly far, go further every time I encounter difficulties.
I always put my family first. I am the eldest daughter in the family, born and raised in the love of my parents. I entered the contest partly for myself, and partly for my family. That is my family's wish. My parents are very supportive of me. Every step of my path has been supported and encouraged by my parents. I feel the love and wishes of my parents as I grow up. I am the one who will continue my family's dream.
