Comrade Le Phuoc Tho's family slaughtered a piggy bank "For poor patients"

(CT) - On the morning of June 14, the family of comrade Le Phuoc Tho, former member of the Politburo, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Central Organization Committee, organized a piggy bank slaughter "For poor patients" to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of comrade Le Phuoc Tho's death.

Comrade Le Hung Dung, former Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, gave piggy banks to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in his extended family.

Here, Le Phuoc Loc and his family members, who are the children and grandchildren of comrade Le Phuoc Tho, proceeded to slaughter 21 piggy banks that the family members had raised for a year. After counting, they found more than 27.7 million VND, the entire amount was sent by the family to the fund of the Association for Supporting Poor Patients of Can Tho City to help those in difficult circumstances, especially those with unfortunate lives in the program "Sympathy and Sharing" of the City Radio and Television Station.

The activity aims to help poor patients in difficult circumstances and has also been the wish of comrade Le Phuoc Tho since he was the Honorary Chairman of the Association for Supporting Poor Patients of Can Tho City. Since 2015, comrade Le Phuoc Tho has mobilized his children and grandchildren to raise piggy banks "For poor patients". In 2023, comrade Le Hung Dung, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City, continued the family tradition, always encouraging his children and grandchildren to save money to raise piggy banks to help poor patients until now.

On this occasion, the Association for Supporting Poor Patients of Can Tho City presented a new piggy bank and comrade Le Hung Dung also presented 21 piggy banks to his children and grandchildren to encourage them to continue raising piggy banks to have funds to support poor patients.
