From May to July, Moc Chau tourism definitely cannot lack the experience of picking plums and enjoying them in the garden. At the end of June, Moc Chau plums are in their ripest season, with the most delicious and beautiful fruits.
Plum is a prominent agricultural product of Moc Chau town. Just go along the road from the town center to Tan Lap commune, Son La city, you can see vast forests of ripe plums.
Quang Kien, a young man who works in a tourism photography service in Moc Chau, shared: "In June, plums are ripe and delicious, and this year tourists can still pick plums until July."
Born and raised in Moc Chau, Quang Kien has visited many places in his hometown, but he still enjoys seeing plum gardens laden with fruit in season. "One morning, I can go plum picking, listen to garden owner Nguyen Xuan Van tell stories about growing plums, taking care of the trees and harvesting the fruit... as well as creating the Moc Chau ruby plum brand."
Ruby plums are large, purple-red when ripe, with attractive, round skin. For every 100 plums grown in Son La, only 5 Ruby plums are selected. This is one of the plum brands with high prices on the market, launched in 2021. Photo: Nguyen Xuan Van
Tourists coming to Moc Chau who want to pick plums, eat and buy them in the garden can go to plum gardens in Na Ka valley, Tan Lap, Ban On, Mu Nau...
