World silver price today July 8, 2025 slightly decreased
After a stable trading session, the silver market on July 8, 2025 recorded a slight downward trend in both domestic and world markets.
In the international market, silver prices have slightly decreased, currently trading at 36.72 USD/ounce, down 0.17 USD compared to the previous session. Converted according to the exchange rate, the world silver price is equivalent to about 949,000 VND/ounce (buy) and 954,000 VND/ounce (sell), equivalent to 30.5 - 30.6 million VND/kg. Despite the decrease, many experts are still optimistic about the prospects of this metal in the coming time.
Unit | VND | |
Buy | Sell | |
1 Ounce | 949,000 | 954,000 |
1 amount | 114,401 | 115,031 |

The decline was driven by a slight rise in the US Dollar Index (DXY), which weighed on precious metals priced in USD. In addition, market sentiment was dominated by concerns about US tariff policies and the possibility of the Federal Reserve (Fed) maintaining high interest rates following positive economic data. However, in a recent interview, Mr. Ryan McIntyre - senior managing partner at investment firm Sprott said that he is shifting his attention from gold to silver in the short term. According to him, the gold/silver price ratio has fallen below 92, significantly lower than the peak above 100 in April, opening up an attractive opportunity for silver.
While industrial demand accounts for about 60% of the silver market and continues to create a supply deficit, silver’s role as a physical asset remains important, McIntyre noted. Easing fears of a global economic downturn and easing trade tensions are supporting cyclical industrial demand for silver, particularly in sectors such as renewable energy and electronics.
