On the morning of July 7, the stock market was very active as cash flow continued to flow into the market, pushing green to spread widely and bringing the VN-Index close to the 1,400 point mark - the highest level since April 19, 2022, when the index closed at 1,406.45 points.
Specifically, at the end of the morning session, the VN-Index increased by 11.03 points to 1,398 points. Liquidity on the HOSE floor reached nearly 677 million shares, equivalent to more than 14,222.2 billion VND. Green clearly dominated with 208 stocks increasing in price, while only 98 stocks decreased and 48 stocks remained unchanged.
On the HNX floor, the HNX-Index increased by 2.55 points to 1,235.06 points. The total trading volume reached more than 67.2 million shares, equivalent to a value of more than VND1,114.6 billion. The entire floor recorded 77 stocks increasing, 63 stocks decreasing and 68 stocks remaining unchanged.
UPCOM-Index also had a positive session, increasing 0.58 points to 101.75 points. Trading volume reached more than 26.6 million shares, with a total value of more than VND376.2 billion. There were 128 stocks increasing in price, 70 stocks decreasing and 80 stocks remaining unchanged.
The main driving force for the market is the large cash flow pouring into large-cap stocks. The VN30 basket recorded 25/30 stocks increasing in price, with many stocks increasing strongly such as SHB up 4.62%, CTG up 3.75%, HDB up 3.1%. Pillar stocks such as VIC, VHM, VRE, VNM, VCB, VJC also kept green, contributing to creating significant momentum for the index.
Banking stocks were a clear bright spot in the market this morning. Most stocks in the industry increased in price, with only PGB maintaining its reference price. The consensus increase of the banking group acted as the main support, creating a great driving force to help the VN-Index accelerate.
At the same time, the securities group also traded strongly. Green spread across almost the entire group, with only VFS decreasing in price. Many codes recorded strong increases, reflecting expectations for market growth and high liquidity.
Besides stocks, real estate, construction and materials groups also traded actively, increasing prices simultaneously, adding momentum to the market.
However, not all sectors were in the same direction. Oil and gas and insurance stocks were less positive as most of the codes in these two groups traded below reference, somewhat affecting the overall growth momentum.
With market liquidity in the morning session reaching nearly 16,000 billion VND, strong demand from both individual and institutional investors is creating great expectations for the ability of VN-Index to soon conquer the psychological threshold of 1,400 points - the peak area established on April 19, 2022 with the mark of 1,406.45 points.
The market is showing clear signs of optimism with widespread cash flow and solid leadership from key stock groups. This reinforces the belief in a new uptrend cycle, as investors expect Q2 business results and positive macro signals in the second half of 2025.
