Young Photography Festival 2025 honors 17 outstanding works

On August 18, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism concluded the award ceremony of the 2025 Youth Photography Festival with the theme "Vietnam's Aspiration".

The photo series "Lighting up green aspirations" was awarded the Gold Medal in the realism category.

After more than 3 months of launching, the organizing committee received nearly 3,000 works from more than 500 young authors across the country, vividly reflecting social life, the aspirations of youth to contribute and the beauty of the country.

In the realism category, the works exhibited and awarded have realistically and vividly reflected the beauty of Vietnamese people, culture and landscapes. Through the lens of photography, the authors have captured moments of real life, full of creative energy, from the new vitality in the countryside and urban areas, to the creative innovation and modernization of the country.

The photo series "Helicopters flying in the sky during the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification" by author To Chi Hung was awarded the Silver Medal.

In the conceptual photography genre, young authors express their thoughts on contemporary life issues, thoughtful and creative perspectives on the relationship between humans and the community, nature and technology. These works demonstrate the spirit of criticism, exploration and deep artistic sense of today's young generation of artists - those who are constantly searching for new visual languages to express emotions, thoughts and values of the times.

The jury selected 17 outstanding works to award prizes, including 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 4 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes. The winning works stand out for their creative perspective, spirit of discovery and positive messages. Young photographer Tran Minh Duc, who won first prize with the photo “Dawn on the sea construction site” , shared: “I want to capture the image of the young generation working enthusiastically, contributing to building the Fatherland. That is the inspiration that urged me to pick up the camera”.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, a representative of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists affirmed that the Festival has become a prestigious playground for the young generation of artists, a place where creativity and dedication converge. Exhibitions of award-winning works will be held in Hanoi and many localities, contributing to spreading the love of art and pride in the country and people of Vietnam.
