According to Record , Benfica hope to bring Felix back this week for a fee of around £17-21m. However, Chelsea are still waiting for a higher offer for the 25-year-old star.
Portuguese sources say Chelsea are likely to lose money on the sale of Felix. He joined the Blues in August 2024 for a reported £46 million from Atletico Madrid. But after an unconvincing performance last year, Felix's value has plummeted.
According to CNN , Benfica has reached a personal agreement with Felix. The current problem lies in the transfer fee, as the Portuguese club does not want to pay too much to bring back the old player.
Felix is capable of playing in a variety of positions, including as a centre-forward, winger, attacking midfielder and second striker. He made 40 appearances for Chelsea over two spells, scoring a total of 11 goals.
Felix's contract at Stamford Bridge runs until 2031 and he hopes to be given the chance to leave before the start of the new season. The Portuguese was left out of coach Enzo Maresca's squad for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the US.
This summer, Chelsea have made big additions to their attack, signing Liam Delap for £30m, while also bringing in Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens for a combined fee of over £100m.
