VT9 – VT16 positions belong to package HH1 implemented by the joint venture of Song Da Construction and Services Joint Stock Company – PC1 Group Joint Stock Company – Dong Anh Steel Column Manufacturing Limited Company. Package 1 of the project includes 51 column positions, from VT1 to VT52, passing through Lao Cai province.
Mr. Do Quang Khai, Deputy Director of Power Project Management Board 1, said that the completion of the first wire pulling sections is an important milestone, demonstrating the spirit of "overcoming the sun and overcoming the rain" of the construction unit. At the same time, this result also creates strong motivation and encouragement for other teams, groups and contractors currently working on the construction site, aiming to ensure the progress of the project's wire pulling work.
To achieve this result, the Power Project Management Board 1 and the contractor had to face and overcome many challenges. In fact, during the implementation of work at locations VT9 - VT16, there were times when people did not agree to transport equipment and materials through residential roads. At the same time, the construction terrain was complicated, the pole locations in this wire pulling area were all located on high hills. In addition, the weather was unfavorable, the project area had been experiencing prolonged rain for nearly a week, greatly affecting the work of constructing foundations, erecting poles and spreading and pulling wires along the entire route.
Faced with these difficulties, the Power Project Management Board 1 has implemented many synchronous solutions. In terms of management and supervision of the construction site, the Power Project Management Board 1 has arranged specialized departments to be on duty at pole locations to promptly coordinate with local authorities and contractors to resolve any problems and difficulties arising during the wire pulling process. In site clearance, the Power Project Management Board 1 has closely coordinated with local authorities to mobilize people to support the project construction, agreeing to cut down trees in the route corridor to speed up progress.
The Power Project Management Board 1 also assigned qualified staff to be on duty at the construction site regularly to guide contractors, promptly resolve problems and accept the work to quickly move on to the next step of construction. At the same time, it directed contractors to take advantage of the time when it is not raining to speed up construction implementation.
On the contractor's side, Mr. Nguyen Cao Ngoc, Deputy General Director of Song Da Construction and Service Joint Stock Company, said that the unit has applied modern technology, using flycams to spread bait lines in the air and a brake machine, helping to shorten the time to spread and pull the lines, avoiding having to lower the lines many times, causing waste of time and prolonging the progress.
“This method is very useful in difficult terrain conditions, where the route corridor has not been completely cleared; it helps to minimize the impact of cables on houses, trees, and crops under the route corridor.” – Mr. Nguyen Cao Ngoc said.
Previously, Package No. 1 was also the first package to complete all foundation pit work in the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project. With the determination to join hands with the investor, the contractor of Package No. 1 said that it would be ready to support and "share the burden" with other construction units to carry out the work on the construction site, aiming for the highest goal: energizing the project on August 19, 2025 as directed by the Prime Minister .
