German journalists have set up the website “Protecting Journalists in Gaza”, declaring the importance of diversifying sources and ensuring equal cooperation with Palestinian media professionals.

The move confirms that the situation facing journalists in Gaza is far more dangerous than anywhere else in the world . 140 media workers have been killed in Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023.

German journalists say attacks on reporters and journalists are considered war crimes, but "the Israeli army continues to kill our colleagues, even though they are identified by the labels on their jackets and helmets."

The statement made clear that no other conflict zone is "closed" to journalists the way Israel has done in the Gaza Strip.

In particular, the statement criticized German media outlets for reporting biasedly against Israel and relying only on sources from officials of this Middle Eastern country, and called on mainstream media organizations to be more balanced in their reporting.
