In the past 24 hours, in the North Central region, there has been scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain such as Thanh Chuong 53.3mm, Quan Hoa 63.6mm
Forecast: On May 20, in Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces, there will be showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, in some places over 50mm.
During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Heavy rain in a short period of time has a high risk of flash floods, landslides in the midlands and mountainous areas , and flooding in low-lying areas.
