Gasoline prices are forecast to continue to increase on June 26.

It is forecasted that at the operating session on June 26, retail gasoline prices may increase by 2.8-3.2% if the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade do not set aside or use the Gasoline and Oil Price Stabilization Fund.

According to VPI's forecast model, the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline may increase by VND660 (3.2%) to VND21,290/liter, while RON 95-III gasoline may increase by VND595 (2.8%) to VND21,835/liter.

Retail oil prices this period also share an upward trend, in which kerosene may increase by 4.3% to VND19,734/liter, followed by diesel which may increase by 3.9% to VND19,897/liter, while fuel oil is forecast to increase only slightly by 0.5% to VND17,728/kg.

This period, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue not to set aside or use the Gasoline and Oil Price Stabilization Fund.

In the world market, oil prices fell 6% in the trading session on June 24 and closed at the lowest level in 2 weeks, due to expectations that a ceasefire between Israel and Iran will reduce the risk of oil supply disruption in the Middle East.

Brent crude futures fell $4.34, or 6.1%, to settle at $67.14 a barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell $4.14, or 6.0%, to settle at $64.37.

The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies have announced plans to increase production. Kazakhstan's KazMunayGaz has raised its forecast for oil production at its largest oil field, Tengiz, from 34.8 million tonnes to 35.7 million tonnes by 2025.

In Guyana, oil production increased from 611,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 667,000 bpd in May 2025, mainly at two of the three production facilities operated by Exxon Mobil.
