The amnesty for the 80th anniversary of National Day is expected to be the largest ever.

Implementing the President's decision on amnesty on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2, and the guidance of the Amnesty Advisory Council, the authorities have examined and assessed more than 10,000 eligible records from prisons, temporary detention camps under the Ministry of Public Security , provincial criminal enforcement agencies and prisons managed by the Ministry of National Defense. The assessment of records is conducted at many levels, with the participation of agencies, departments and supervision of social organizations and people.

According to the reviewed and approved records, the second amnesty in 2025 is expected to be the one with the largest number of amnesties ever. In order for the second amnesty in 2025 to be effective, the Ministry of Public Security requests that all levels, sectors and localities pay attention to the reintegration of amnestied people into the community.

Party committees, authorities, socio -political organizations and the people need to enhance their responsibility, avoid discrimination, and help pardoned people overcome their inferiority complex. At the same time, they need to do a good job of monitoring, educating, providing vocational training, and creating jobs to help them stabilize their lives and limit recidivism.
