On June 30, officials and people of Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast provinces such as Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau were happy and excited about the historical event when the provinces and cities simultaneously organized the announcement of resolutions and decisions of the Central and local governments on the arrangement of provincial and commune-level administrative units, ending the operation of district-level administrative units, establishing party organizations, appointing Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City provinces and communes, wards, and special zones.

According to SGGP reporters , at intersections and administrative centers of new communes and wards, red flags with yellow stars, banners, and posters with information about the new administrative unit are brightly displayed.
At the headquarters of the People's Committee at the grassroots level, information about the People's Committees of communes and wards under Ho Chi Minh City is solemnly hung at the entrance gate, public administration center, and citizen reception room, creating an extremely bustling atmosphere.
