Dong Hoang builds a model new countryside

Solid high-rise buildings are built close together, the roads in the villages and hamlets are concreted and smooth; the material and spiritual life of the people in the commune has gradually improved. That is the result of the efforts of the Party Committee, the government and the consensus of the people here in the process of building new rural areas in recent years.

Following the introduction of the Vice Chairman of Dong Hoang Commune People's Committee, we went to Hoang Hoc village - one of the pioneers in building a model new-style rural village. Party cell secretary and village head Truong Van Son said: Many years ago, many roads in the village were small and narrow, and environmental sanitation was still inadequate... Identifying the National Target Program on New-Style Rural Development as a key political task, he and the Party cell discussed it in Party cell meetings, organized people's meetings, and listened to people's thoughts and aspirations. In particular, the consistent leadership viewpoint is to mobilize the consensus and active participation of the people, promote the exemplary role of cadres and party members; easy criteria should be done first, difficult criteria should be done later; household tasks should be undertaken by the family; collective tasks should be mobilized to mobilize all people and children from the hometown working far away to join hands in building. Since then, it has created consensus, attracted participation and response from all classes of people to join in the New Rural Construction. As a result, the people of Hoang Hoc village have contributed 1.4 billion VND; built more than 1.8km of open fences; upgraded and expanded 1.54km of rural roads; 1.5km of residential drainage ditches. Many households have also voluntarily dismantled ancillary works, fences, gates, donated 860m2 of land, and contributed thousands of working days to expand and upgrade roads. Up to now, the village has been recognized as meeting the standards of a model New Rural Village.

To complete the goal of building a model new-style rural commune, the Dong Hoang Commune Party Committee has issued a thematic resolution on building an advanced new-style rural commune and a model new-style rural commune. The Party Committee and the Commune People's Committee have assigned specific tasks to Party Committee members, cadres, civil servants, Party members, and mass organizations; in which, the exemplary role of the heads of Party Committees, authorities, and mass organizations is promoted to mobilize people to voluntarily implement, thereby creating a widespread movement in the community and the entire population. Focus on mobilizing resources and people's contributions to continue investing, renovating, and building new technical infrastructure systems to serve socio -economic development. Thanks to good propaganda work, cadres, Party members and people in the commune are clearly aware of their roles, responsibilities and benefits in building advanced new-style rural criteria and model new-style rural criteria, thereby creating consensus and support from the people in implementing the criteria. As a result, the whole commune has mobilized over 500 billion VND to build an advanced NTM commune and a model NTM commune. The commune has invested in upgrading and expanding 11.2km of rural roads; 2km of intra-field roads; 6.34km of intra-field canals; 9.5km of drainage ditches; 13.2km of open fences. 100% of the main roads in the commune and villages have been asphalted and concreted, the lighting system and the village cultural house ensure to meet the daily needs of the people... Up to this point, the commune has 6/6 villages recognized as meeting the model NTM standards.

Starting to carry out the task of building a model new-style rural commune, the commune has focused on building a strong political system, capable of leading, managing and mobilizing the people to carry out the renovation process. The Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations have overcome difficulties, united and determined to build a political system that meets the criteria in building a model new-style rural commune. In the process of implementing the model new-style rural commune, Dong Hoang commune has always identified income as the most important criterion. The commune promotes the development of small-scale industry and services with 17 enterprises, 364 production and business establishments, creating jobs for hundreds of local workers. In agricultural production, the commune continues to transform the crop structure; focusing on developing livestock according to farm and family models with animals of high economic value. Economic development creates conditions to improve the material and spiritual life of the people; the average income reaches 73 million VND/person/year.

The results achieved in building new rural areas in Dong Hoang are a testament to the unceasing efforts of the Party Committee, government and people here. We believe that Dong Hoang will increasingly change its appearance and soon complete the goal of becoming a model new rural commune in the near future.
