Dong Giang develops production value chain, OCOP products

In addition, the District People's Committee directed the effective implementation of the OCOP program with a total budget of 3 billion VND for the 2019 - 2024 period. Dong Giang currently has 24 OCOP products; of which, two products meet 4-star standards, 22 products meet 3-star standards.

The district is implementing a project to develop garden economy and farm economy; reorienting the development of large timber forests, gradually replacing acacia trees to both develop the economy and link with forest management and protection.

Accordingly, Dong Giang will carry out projects to link cinnamon planting; raise black pigs, local pigs, and spotted deer according to the production value chain using capital from national target programs with a total cost of more than 52 billion VND.

The district coordinated with the Department of Science and Technology to accept two provincial-level projects: "Research on conservation and development of A rieu chili peppers for commodity production in Dong Giang district, Quang Nam province"; "Research on development and processing of Ra zéh tea products in Tu commune, Dong Giang district". Develop a project to develop black pigs in Jo Ngay and Ka Dang communes.
