Los Angeles FC (LAFC) in the US Major League Soccer (MLS) suddenly announced that young player Adrian Wibowo has received a call-up to the Indonesian national team.

This announcement was posted by LAFC on the team's official Instagram page on the morning of September 3. In the post, LAFC announced the list of 5 players called up to the Indonesian national team during the September FIFA Days, including: Son Heung Min (Korea), Adrian Wibowo (Indonesia), M. Choiniere (Canada), N. Ordaz (El Salvador) and D. Bouanga (Gabon).

The call-up of Adrian Wibowo comes as the Indonesian team prepares for two important friendly matches during FIFA Days in September.

According to the schedule, Indonesia will face Taiwan on September 5, and Lebanon on September 8 at home stadium Gelora Bung Tomo.

Who is Adrian Wibowo?

Adrian Wibowo was born on January 17, 2006 in Los Angeles, USA. According to CNN Indonesia, the 19-year-old player has Indonesian blood from his father, Mr. Boogie Wibowo - an Indonesian citizen originally from Surabaya.

Adrian currently plays as a winger for Los Angeles. He joined LAFC's academy in 2018, after starting his career at Total Futbol Academy.

Previously, this young talent also played for the US U17 team, scoring 1 goal in 3 appearances.
