At this time, educational institutions in communes and wards, especially in the Bay Nui area, where many Khmer people live, have completed preparations for the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year.

An Tuc A Primary School has 2 locations, the main location is in Ninh Thuan hamlet and the secondary location is in Ninh Hoa hamlet. In the 2025-2026 school year, the school plans to mobilize more than 390 students, with 16 classes; of which 370 are Khmer students and 32% are students in difficult circumstances. Principal of An Tuc A Primary School Tran Ba ​​Pham shared: “During the summer, the school coordinated with the People's Committee and the Youth Union of O Lam commune to mobilize 3 charity groups to organize the giving of 390 gifts, with a total cost of 90 million VND to ethnic minority students and students in difficult circumstances. In addition, in August, the school opened 2 Vietnamese language classes for Khmer students to get acquainted before entering grade 1. In the new school year, the school will continue to teach Khmer language to students in grades 1 and 2 and teach foreign languages ​​and information technology to students in grades 3, 4, and 5”.

O Lam commune currently has 12 schools, with 3 levels: kindergarten, primary school and secondary school. In the 2025-2026 school year, the locality plans to mobilize nearly 5,200 students. The facilities of the schools have been invested in building solidly and spaciously, meeting the requirements of teaching and learning. The pedagogical environment has been improved towards green, clean, beautiful and safe. However, many schools have degraded equipment and classrooms; lack of functional rooms; are being repaired and upgraded; some equipment is damaged and there is no funding for repair. In addition, most schools do not have fire prevention and fighting equipment; there are only fire extinguishers but they are not used regularly, and are checked periodically...

In preparation for the new school year, the first school year implementing the two-level local government model, at the end of July, the People's Committee of O Lam commune established an inspection team to review and work with the principals of schools in the area. On that basis, the commune directed the principals to have a specific plan for purchasing equipment; renovating and upgrading facilities; arranging teachers and staff, especially equipping Khmer students with Vietnamese to prepare for first grade.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of O Lam Neang Sam Bo commune said that the People's Committee of the commune directed relevant units to synthesize needs, recommendations, prepare reports and advise and propose competent authorities to consider and resolve. The locality directed schools to actively coordinate with hamlet leaders and unions to mobilize students to go to class, pay attention to students who follow their parents to work far away, ensuring that 100% of children graduate from primary school to enter grade 6 and 100% of children graduate from kindergarten to enter grade 1.

The locality also mobilizes resources to take care of students, not letting them drop out of school. In addition, it implements landscape cleaning, school renovation, and additional equipment to ensure the new school year. At the same time, it pays attention to fire prevention and fighting; preventing accidents, injuries, school violence, and building national standard schools...

In Tri Ton commune, educational institutions in the area are busy preparing for the new school year. Tri Ton Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities said that the school's facilities are adequate, meeting the teaching and learning needs of the school. According to the Principal of Tri Ton Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, Cao Thi Phuong Trang, in the 2025-2026 school year, the school will welcome 140 first-grade students (grade 6). Of which, Khmer and Chinese students account for 90%, with 126 students. In preparation for the new school year, since June 2025, the school has been funded by the People's Committee of Tri Ton district (old) to repair the dormitory toilets, which have now been completed, meeting the accommodation needs of students. In July 2025, the school was provided with 136 new desks and chairs, 7 LCD screens and teaching equipment by the Department of Education and Training. The school has been cleaning, decorating and landscaping... to welcome students back to school.

According to the 2025-2026 school year schedule issued by the Provincial People's Committee, all levels from preschool education, general education and continuing education will return to school on August 29. Particularly for grades 1, 9 and 12, they will return to school on August 22. All units and schools will hold the opening ceremony on September 5, 2025. The 2025-2026 school year will ensure 35 weeks of actual study. Educational institutions with a large number of Khmer students and ethnic boarding schools will flexibly arrange holidays for Sene Dolta and Chol Chnam Thmay to ensure the unit's educational plan.
