During the patrol, the Border Guard inspected and controlled 35 vessels with 100 crew members operating at sea. Through inspection, most of the vessels strictly complied with the law on seafood exploitation.
Along with that, the unit presented 70 national flags and distributed 110 leaflets on IUU to fishermen. The main contents of the propaganda included: not violating foreign waters, ensuring the operation of the 24/7 journey monitoring system, fully recording fishing logs, not using prohibited fishing gear...
Along with inspection and propaganda work, officers and soldiers of the unit also called on and guided vehicles to urgently find safe shelters and proactively avoid risks caused by monsoon winds. The timely presence of the Border Guard force not only ensures the safety of the people, but also contributes to raising legal awareness and building a stable and sustainable sea area.
This activity continues to demonstrate the core role of Tran Island Border Post in performing the dual task of both protecting the sovereignty of the sea and accompanying fishermen to safely go offshore, contributing to removing the "yellow card" for fisheries.
