Lac Hong University team won third prize at ABU Robocon 2025 Competition

(DN) - On August 24, the final round of the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) 2025 took place in the capital city of ULaanbaatar (Mongolia).

With the theme of "Basketball Warriors", this year's competition requires a high level of direct confrontation. Teams must apply new technologies to robot design, while also having smart tactics and the ability to control situations from the beginning of the match.

The competition attracted 14 teams from 13 countries and territories. The Robocon team of Lac Hong University passed the group stage and the quarter-finals to reach the semi-finals, where they met the Japanese team. After a tense score chase, the Japanese team won 12-9 and qualified for the final match against the Hong Kong team (China).

In the end, the Japanese team won the championship of this year's competition, the Hong Kong team won second prize, the Robocon team of Lac Hong University won third prize, tied with the host team Mongolia 2. In addition, the Vietnamese Robocon team also won the ABU prize voted by the ABU Council.
