32 years of reading Thanh Nien Newspaper and falling in love with "journalism"
It became a habit every morning on the way to school to stop for a few minutes at Thanh Crossroads (now Thanh Crossroads) in Dien Khanh, Khanh Hoa to buy a copy of Thanh Nien Newspaper. , put it in my bag and hurried to school to be on time for class. That habit has followed me for 32 years, since I started working at Trinh Phong Secondary School, Dien Khanh, Khanh Hoa until today. Talking about the benefits of reading books in general and reading newspapers in particular, it is considered an indispensable spiritual food for many people. For me, reading newspapers has helped a lot in teaching, especially in history.

It is also thanks to regularly reading Thanh Nien Newspaper for a long time that I have practiced writing articles, up to now, nearly 300 of my articles have been published in Thanh Nien Newspaper online and in print. Those are my "brainchildren" born from the fate of reading Thanh Nien Newspaper, which I have been attached to and loved. Reading and writing articles brings me many interesting and useful things, my teaching skills are improved, better, the lessons become more lively and attractive to students, especially in dry history lessons, with figures, dates, months, years of events that students find difficult to remember and forget.
My history class is more lively thanks to reading the newspaper.
Reading and writing articles is also a way to find inspiration to make my lectures more humane, imbued with the breath of life, and imbued with the soul of the mountains and rivers... Through that, students can easily perceive and gently absorb knowledge. The content of my articles is diverse, from the story of generaleducation reform, excellent teacher competitions, school facilities, school violence, teachers' lives, student education, especially problem students...
Every morning when I wake up and read my articles published in Thanh Nien Newspaper, I feel a surge of indescribable emotions. That day, I went to school and class with inspiration, my teaching was sublime and soulful. Each of my articles published in Thanh Nien Newspaper is my teaching experiences, life, emotions… along with the support of colleagues, students, and parents.
As a teacher with 38 years of teaching history at secondary schools, in addition to providing historical events in textbooks, I always incorporate current events and stories related to the teaching content that I read in Thanh Nien Newspaper. This helps students to listen more attentively. It can be said that thanks to reading newspapers, my history lessons have more soul, and my love for my homeland and country is deeply engraved in the students' souls.

On June 21, the anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, I wish all reporters, editors, etc. of Thanh Nien Newspaper to have more sharp articles, like the late journalist Huu Tho, talking about the noble, glorious and arduous profession of journalism: " To do this job, you must have bright eyes, a pure heart, and a sharp pen to succeed ." I wish all of you who have worked and are working in the journalism industry to always have a straight pen to bring readers information, current events, comments, forums, etc.; articles that truly reflect issues of life, culture, and society; inspirational stories and honorable examples, and indispensable spiritual food of humanity and kindness in daily life.
