At the end of the first half of 2024, FPT Retail recorded consolidated revenue of VND 18,281 billion, up 22% over the same period, completing 49% of the plan. Of which, the company's total online revenue reached VND 3,213 billion, up 17% over the same period. FRT's pre-tax profit in the first 6 months of 2024 continued to improve, reaching VND 161 billion.
In the first 6 months of 2024, FPT Shop's revenue reached 6,923 billion VND, accounting for 37% of the company's total revenue.
FPT Long Chau pharmacy chain recorded revenue growth of 67% compared to the first 6 months of 2023, reaching VND 11,521 billion and accounting for 63% of FRT's total revenue. At the same time, operating efficiency was maintained with an average revenue per pharmacy of about VND 1.2 billion/month in the context of continuously opening many new pharmacies.
Also in the first 6 months of 2024, FPT Shop's revenue reached VND 6,923 billion, accounting for 37% of the company's total revenue. In the second quarter of 2024, FPT Shop completed system optimization by closing about 100 inefficient stores and recorded all closing costs in the second quarter. However, revenue in the second quarter of 2024 only decreased by 7% year-on-year, lower than the 21% decrease in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period. At the same time, the average revenue per FPT Shop store reached VND 1.6 billion/month, equivalent to the first quarter of 2024 in the context that the second quarter is a low season for shopping demand.
In parallel with optimizing the store system model and operating costs, FPT Shop continues to promote the sale of new products and services such as household appliances, electronics, and developing FPT MVNO network subscribers, contributing to improving gross profit. Therefore, excluding the cost of closing ineffective stores, FPT Shop's business results in the second quarter are better than the first quarter of 2024.
Regarding the store network, by the end of the first 6 months of 2024, FPT Retail owned a network of 2,435 stores nationwide. Of which, FPT Long Chau expanded with 1,706 pharmacies, an increase of 209 pharmacies compared to the beginning of 2024. In the second quarter, Long Chau expanded its vaccine injection network with 36 newly opened facilities, reaching 87 centers in 40 provinces and cities, contributing to the goal of building a comprehensive healthcare ecosystem for customers. After the system optimization phase, FPT Shop currently has 642 stores nationwide.
