In the current context, to survive and develop, businesses must constantly innovate and improve the quality of products and services. One of the solutions that businesses have focused on implementing to attract customers and increase profits in recent times is to introduce policies to protect consumer rights, bringing satisfaction and good experiences to customers.
Product quality assurance
Product quality plays an extremely important role, is the key factor to retain customers, directly deciding the success or failure of the business. Therefore, businesses that produce and distribute goods pay special attention to ensuring product quality.
As the largest convenience store chain in the province, WinMart+ is a typical unit in prioritizing product quality. Mr. Dang Van Dung, manager of the WinMart+ system in Lang Son said: Currently, in Lang Son province, we have 14 convenience stores. Each store sells more than 2,000 items from confectionery, drinks to processed foods and fresh foods. The products we put on the shelves are all quality products, with clear origin, full stamps and labels, publicly listed prices and expiry dates. In particular, for vegetables, tubers and fruits, Winmart+ directly imports from WinEco farms of Masan Group, grown with a closed process and modern technology, ensuring compliance with VietGAP standards with the motto "clean standards from farm to table".
Not only the WinMart+ convenience store system, Media Mart Electronics Supermarket also proactively displays and introduces quality products to consumers in the province. Mr. Vu Duy Chien, Director of Media Mart Electronics Supermarket in Lang Son said: The supermarket sells more than 3,000 product codes, with a variety of products from electronics, refrigeration to household appliances. To meet the needs of customers, we prioritize importing products from famous domestic and foreign brands such as Sunhouse, Panasonic, Kangaroo... with high quality and many segments to help customers easily choose. In addition, the unit implements product warranty and return policies to ensure the rights of customers when buying defective products or products that are not of the advertised quality.
Along with the two above-mentioned units, according to the assessment of the authorities, currently, the whole province has about 5,600 enterprises, of which, enterprises operating in the field of trade and services account for more than 70%. Most of these enterprises have focused on product quality, ensuring that goods have clear origin, full labels, traceability stamps and public, listed prices of goods...; have many gratitude and after-sales policies to better meet the needs, wishes and increase customer satisfaction.
Build trust, affirm reputation
Along with ensuring product quality, to build trust and brand of enterprises in the hearts of consumers, enterprises in the province also proactively raise awareness and legal knowledge on consumer protection for officers and employees, especially the customer care department.
“We always care about customer satisfaction and experience when using the product, considering this as the foundation to build trust, build a brand, and bring Lang Son agricultural and specialty products far and wide.” Ms. Lo Thuy Dung, Deputy Director of Lang Son Agricultural and Forestry Products Processing and Export Company Limited |
Mr. Nong Hong Nghia, Director of Dong Tien Supermarket Trading Joint Stock Company said: In addition to ensuring the supply of quality goods, we also pay special attention to training and improving knowledge and professional skills for employees. Currently, the supermarket has about 40 employees, workers working in departments such as sales, cashier, accounting... Each employee when recruited, especially employees in the sales and customer care departments, we send to attend training classes, short-term training courses to equip and improve legal knowledge on consumer protection as well as skills in consulting, supporting, and resolving customer complaints.
In addition to consumer goods retail businesses, businesses producing OCOP products and typical products of the province have also been active in protecting their rights. Ms. Lo Thuy Dung, Deputy Director of Lang Son Agricultural and Forestry Products Processing and Export Company Limited, said: As a company that produces and distributes a number of typical and typical products of the province such as star anise essential oil, cinnamon sli, turmeric starch, etc., we always care about the satisfaction and experience of customers when using the products, considering this as the foundation to build trust, build brands, and bring Lang Son agricultural and specialty products far and wide. Therefore, in meetings and activities with employees and workers, we often disseminate and update legal regulations related to consumer protection, and arrange customer care staff in both direct sales channels and e-commerce, ready to advise, answer questions as well as support to meet the wishes and desires of customers.
In practice, it can be seen that businesses having policies and implementing good consumer rights protection work are always a "magnet" to attract and retain customers. Ms. Lieu Thuy Duyen, Tam Thanh ward said: Currently, when I go shopping, I often choose to go to shopping centers, supermarkets, OCOP product sales points... because I see that the products sold here have full information about origin, ingredients, uses, prices, expiry dates... In addition, when I have questions during the process of consulting, choosing or using products, I am always enthusiastically supported by the staff. Thanks to that, I feel that my rights are guaranteed and I am also more secure and comfortable when shopping.
Mr. Dinh Ky Giang, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: Compliance with the law on consumer rights protection is both an obligation and an effective tool for businesses to build trust, affirm their brands and improve their competitiveness. Realizing this, manufacturing and trading enterprises have continuously raised their awareness, responsibility and actively participated in the work of protecting consumer rights. Thanks to that, in recent years, there have been no serious violations related to consumer rights in the province. In the coming time, the Department will continue to coordinate with relevant units to promote propaganda and mobilize businesses to effectively protect consumer rights through providing full and transparent information about goods, ensuring product and service quality; Strengthening the monitoring, inspection and supervision of business activities of enterprises, especially compliance with the law on price posting, selling at the correct listed price, trading in goods of clear origin, ensuring food safety and hygiene... Thereby, contributing to promoting the healthy development of the market.
Protecting consumer rights not only benefits customers but also helps businesses build reputation, affirm their brand in the market, gradually improve competitiveness to boost consumption of goods, increase revenue. This is also the foundation for building a consumer culture, towards a transparent, civilized and sustainable market.
