On the afternoon of April 3, a delegation from the Ministry ofEducation and Sports of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR) led by Mr. Seng Aloun Boutsady, Deputy Director of the Lao Department of Continuing Education, visited and worked at the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education in Lao Cai city.
Accompanying were leaders and experts from the Department of Continuing Education and Continuing Education Centers of provinces in the Lao PDR.
Receiving the delegation from Vietnam were representatives of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs ; the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Lao Cai province, along with teachers from the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of Lao Cai city and some districts in the province.
At the working session, the delegation of the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports learned about the vocational education - continuing education model of Lao Cai city, vocational training for rural workers...
Lao Cai City Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center has the function of vocational training, continuing education and providing employment services in the city. Regarding vocational training tasks, the center has the function and task of teaching elementary vocational training and vocational training under 3 months, organizing training courses for workers, coordinating enrollment and linking training at intermediate and college levels.
Regarding the task of continuing education, the center organizes cultural teaching for grades 10, 11, and 12, and at the same time organizes training programs to improve professional qualifications and skills, including: Foreign language and applied information technology training programs; career guidance, general vocational training; training and improvement of professional qualifications and skills according to learners' needs...
At the meeting, representatives of the Lao Cai Department of Education and Training and the delegation of the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Lao PDR introduced the education sector of their locality and country, and affirmed that the visit and work would help both sides better understand each other's educational activities and models, thereby creating support and cooperation programs for mutual development.
The program is also a meaningful activity to deepen the relationship between the Lao PDR and Vietnam, together fostering a sustainable friendship and increasingly good development.
At the program, the delegation of the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports also visited classrooms, practice rooms, and vocational training rooms at the Lao Cai City Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center.
