Mr. Le Quoc Minh emphasized that the press needs a new content strategy, in which quality is the core value. Press agencies should focus on producing differentiated products, instead of trying to please all readers.

He also proposed a series of strategic directions such as: building a comprehensive digital transformation plan; applying AI in the journalism process, automating news production and analyzing Big Data; personalizing content; using AI to interact with readers; verifying information, detecting fake news; ensuring professional ethics; promoting the creation of digital journalism products and diversifying revenue sources.

Regarding revenue sources, he said that newspapers need to diversify their revenue sources, develop new revenue sources, and avoid depending on the sole source of advertising. In addition, units also need to focus on investing in digital transformation; increasing the production of digital content, applying new technologies, big data, multimedia platforms, etc. to reach and retain young readers.

The forum took place over two days (June 19-20), including 12 sessions: opening, closing and 10 in-depth discussion sessions focusing on practical contents: Vietnamese press in the new era: Vision for creating development space; Female leaders in journalism: Women's voices in news management; Conquering Gen Z readers: Decoding the formula for success; Artificial intelligence and digital transformation strategies of Vietnamese press offices; Revenue sources in the digital age: Not just advertising, press must sell more; Television adapts to the new media environment; What mechanism for radio to develop in the current period?; Data is the root of modern newsrooms; Personalizing content to keep readers loyal; Resolution 18 and the requirement for innovation in press personnel.
