On the evening of February 9, speaking with Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Traffic Police Department (PC08) of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that they had suspended a traffic police major for violating cultural conduct and using inappropriate words towards violators on the evening of February 7.

According to the representative of PC08, through recording information from social networks about a short clip with content reflecting the image of a police officer of Tan Tuc Traffic Police Station (under PC08) violating behavioral culture and having inappropriate words with the violator.
Immediately after receiving the information, PC08 leaders requested officers, soldiers and units involved in the incident to report.
According to information about the incident, at around 6:30 p.m. on February 7, while the patrol team was checking for alcohol violations at Nguyen Van Linh roundabout, they discovered a woman driving a motorbike on Le Kha Phieu Street, from Nguyen Huu Tri to Long An Province, entering the prohibited road at Nguyen Van Linh roundabout, so they stopped the vehicle and handled it.
However, during the process, the woman initially did not cooperate but used her phone to record and call other people, causing frustration for the officer handling the case.
Due to lack of self-control, a traffic police major made inappropriate comments like "are you deaf or not..." as the clip reflects.
The clip was shared on social networks, negatively affecting the image of the traffic police force.
PC08 leaders have decided to temporarily suspend this major from work for verification and handling according to regulations.
