DIFC 2025: Da Nang fireworks create a symphony of light in the hearts of tourists

DNO - On the evening of June 7, the sky of Da Nang was brilliant in the second competition night with the theme "Creative Art" with the highlight being the competition between team Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam team 2) and veteran fireworks team Surex Firma Rodzinna from Poland.

Applause rang out as the first fireworks burst into the night sky, kicking off the artistic journey of two competing teams: Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam 2) and veteran fireworks team Surex Firma Rodzinna from Poland, opening the show: Vietnam 1 and Finland. The splendid streaks of light soared high, blooming to the melodious music, as if telling rich cultural stories in the wordless language of light.

Laura, a tourist from Italy, shared: “I didn’t think lights and music could tell such a story. Every time the fireworks explode, I feel like I’m transported to a completely new scene.”

This year, DIFC 2025 brings together 10 teams from 9 countries, taking place throughout June, promising many eye-catching performances. The theme “Cultural Essence” on the opening night evokes the depth of the intersection between tradition and modernity, where each fireworks display is a memory, a touching moment in the hearts of viewers.

“When the fireworks bloomed like flowers of light, I felt like I was embracing the whole sky. Each color had a meaning, and I could feel the emotions that the artisans wanted to convey through each beat of the fireworks,” said Yuki Nakamura, a tourist from Japan.

And in those bustling stands, it is not difficult to catch the sparkling eyes of tourists from all over the world - those who come to Da Nang for the first time or have returned many times, but always find something new in the city on the Han River.

“I have watched DIFC on TV before, but seeing it live is completely different. I was really overwhelmed. The fireworks here are not only beautiful, but also have cultural depth – like a dream painted with light. I have decided to stay until the end of the festival season,” said Zhang Kezhu, a Chinese tourist with excitement.

For Amelia Clarke, a tourist from England, Da Nang is a place that holds beautiful memories. “The first time I came here was 7 years ago, when I was traveling with a group. Tonight, when the Han River lit up with fireworks, I was really moved. This city has changed a lot, it is more modern, but still retains its closeness and openness. I have recorded many moments to share with friends and relatives,” said Amelia Clarke.

Unable to hide his excitement, Mr. Mikko Laine from Finland commented: “We Finns value neatness and kindness, and I realized that in the way Da Nang organized this event. I felt the hospitality from the smallest things – smiles, eyes, or the way you support tourists. I will come back with my family.”

From another perspective, Ms. Sophie Martin, a French tourist, shared: “The fireworks competition in Da Nang is really impressive. I have attended many light festivals in Europe, but this place has its own color - both poetic and imbued with the Asian spirit. If we could add a few more convenient viewing positions, the experience would be more complete.”

More than just an art competition, DIFC 2025 is also a multi-national cultural festival, where artists from competing teams send messages of solidarity, peace and belief in sustainable development. Each night of fireworks is a visual feast, a connection between people, overcoming all geographical or linguistic distances.

Da Nang is not only beautiful in landscape, but also touches the hearts of visitors with its friendliness and distinct cultural identity. After the opening night, a series of art, tourism and culinary activities will continue to take place on the sidelines, promising to bring visitors rich and unforgettable experiences.

From now until July 12 – the final night with the theme “New Era” – the city by the Han River will continue to light up the sky with brilliant harmonies, where each fireworks display is not just a performance, but also a moment left in the memories, in the hearts, in the stories of each person when they return.

“I will remember this night forever. There are moments when fireworks not only light up the sky, but also light up very special memories in each person’s heart,” said Maria Gonzalez, a Spanish tourist, emotionally.
