Literature questions for high school graduation exam 2025

This morning, 1.16 million candidates took the literature exam - the first subject of the 2025 high school graduation exam.

The literature test for the 2025 high school graduation exam according to the 2018 generaleducation program will no longer include literary works familiar to many generations of students over the past 20-30 years. Instead, there will be completely new material.

In the reference exam that the Ministry of Education and Training announced in February this year, the literature exam consists of 2 parts: Reading comprehension (4 points) and Writing (6 points).

In the Writing section, candidates are required to write a 200-word literary essay, maximum 2 points, and a 600-word social essay, maximum 4 points.

The 2025 high school graduation exam is a special and historic exam as it is both the first year of taking the exam according to the 2018 general education program and ensures the exam for students taking the exam according to the 2006 general education program.

This is also the largest exam ever, with the participation of more than 1.1 million candidates across 63 provinces and cities, held at 2,493 exam locations with more than 50,000 exam rooms.

It is expected that about 200,000 personnel will be mobilized to participate in the organization of the exam, such as officials, teachers in the education sector, police, military, medical , electricity forces, etc.
