Proposing Dong Nai to provide additional 0.6 million cubic meters of rock to build the second runway of Long Thanh Airport

In a report sent to Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on the progress of the Long Thanh International Airport Project Phase 1, the Ministry of Construction requested the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee to consider and support the provision of an additional 0.6 million cubic meters of rock in the upcoming phase to implement the construction of the second runway.

At the same time, Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee will allocate and ensure the demand for construction stone of Long Thanh Airport Project in 2025 is about 4.9 million ^m3 .

According to the Ministry of Construction , as of May 26, the total volume of stone materials brought to the Long Thanh Airport Project construction site was nearly 1.3 million ^m3 out of the total demand of about 4.9 million ^m3 registered for 2025. Thus, the volume of stone materials still lacking according to the registered demand is nearly 3.7 million ^m3 (in February and March 2025, the volume of stone materials brought to the construction site only reached about 52%; in April 2025, it reached about 62%, and from early May until now, it has reached about 40%).

The mining capacity at the mines still does not meet the material needs of the project. The volume of rocks not arriving at the construction site on time affects the construction progress of packages 4.7 and 4.8.
