Reporting to the Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee and the working delegation at the working session, Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Director of Lam Dong Aluminum Company, said: The Lam Dong Bauxite - Aluminum Complex Project was approved by the Politburo in the Resolution of the 10th Party Congress.

The project was implemented in June 2006 through 2 EPC contracts (Ore Selection Plant and Alumina Plant). The project also has a number of bidding packages and construction contracts for works and items outside the factory fence, with a total investment of 15,414 billion VND.

The Director of Lam Dong Aluminum Company added: Tay Tan Rai bauxite mine was licensed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on June 21, 2010, with a total mining area of ​​1,619.5 hectares and a total mining reserve of 119,361,000 tons of ore. The average mining capacity is about 4,300,000 tons/year.

Leaders of Lam Dong Aluminum Company reported to the Working Delegation of the Provincial Standing Committee on the activities of the Lam Dong Bauxite - Aluminum Complex Project.

The project started construction at the end of July 2008 and was put into trial operation at the end of 2012. From October 1, 2013, the project was officially handed over and put into commercial operation with 3 components, including: Bauxite mining, Ore selection plant and Alumina production plant complex. In which, the alumina production line has a designed capacity of 650,000 tons/year.

Along with that, the Complex also has a power plant with a power generation capacity of 30 MW/h and a steam production volume of 300 tons (high pressure steam)/hour. The electricity output is mainly for self-consumption. The steam produced is intended to supply the entire heating process for alumina production.

A coal gasification plant with a gas output of 48,000 - 55,000 Nm3/h was converted to serve the process of calcining hydrate into alumina.

Tan Rai Bauxite Ore Processing Plant is applying gravity separation technology which is very suitable for bauxite ore in the Central Highlands. The average ore refining capacity is about 1,780,000 tons/year.

During the production process, the quality of aluminum products always meets export standards. Aluminum products are currently exported to countries such as: UAE (Middle East), India, Korea, Japan, Switzerland, etc.

With the direct guidance of TKV Group and the attention and support of Lam Dong province, the Company has always focused on synchronously applying many solutions to improve production and business efficiency.

Specifically: Implementing good management according to technical and economic norms in production stages; optimizing operating models; promoting computerization and automation in management and production... Thanks to that, the indicators of output, product quality, and main material consumption are increasingly achieving higher efficiency compared to the design.

Raw ore exploitation in 7 months reached 2,776,200 tons, equal to 64.6% of the plan. Converted alumina output reached 442,100 tons, equal to 68.0% of the plan. By the end of July, the Company had consumed 407,500 tons of alumina, equal to 67.9% of the yearly plan.

Accordingly, revenue in 7 months reached 2,255.6 billion VND, equal to 65.6% of the yearly plan. It is expected that the Company's revenue in 2025 will reach 3,845 billion VND, equal to 111.7% of the plan.

The total cumulative alumina output is expected to reach 8.21 million tons by the end of 2025. In general, the alumina production output has increased steadily. By the 5th year of operation, the line's capacity has reached approximately the design capacity (643,000/650,000 tons) and by 2023 it will reach over 748,000 tons (115% of the design capacity).

However, in 2024, capacity will have to be reduced due to lack of input ore sources and it is expected to be around 740,000 tons in 2025.

Comrade Ho Van Muoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

The accumulated pre-tax profit of Tan Rai Project as of July 31, 2025 reached 6,807 billion VND. To date, after 15 years of operation, the depreciation has been 11,094/14,288 billion VND. The total value paid to the local budget since the Factory went into commercial operation to date is 6,716 billion VND.

Through production and business activities, in the first 7 months of the year, Lam Dong Aluminum Company achieved a profit of 75.4 billion VND, equal to 228.5% of the yearly plan.

Currently, the Company is creating stable jobs for 1,336 officers and employees. The current average income is 17.9 million VND/person/month.

Along with that, Lam Dong Aluminum Company also regularly does a good job of social security such as building roads, building schools, providing vocational training for people in the Project area; preventing the Covid-19 epidemic, eliminating dilapidated houses, giving gifts, scholarships... with a total amount of more than 327 billion VND.

In addition to the achieved results, Lam Dong Aluminum Company is currently facing some difficulties related to site clearance and land acquisition for ore mining. Therefore, the unit is facing the risk of lacking ore mining area, affecting alumina production activities in the coming time.

From now until 2025, the Company will use 50 hectares for ore mining, but currently the mining area is only 2 hectares. If not resolved promptly, the project is at risk of being interrupted, directly affecting the production - business plan and political tasks of the Lam Dong Bauxite - Aluminum Complex.

Comrade Vo Ngoc Hiep, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

To successfully achieve the set goals and tasks, Lam Dong Aluminum Company will focus on optimizing the technical - technological - electromechanical model and effective cost management; at the same time, carry out comprehensive digital transformation; deploy smart production management software; improve working conditions and employee regimes; promote training and development of human resources to meet the company's production requirements in each stage.

The company always links production and business with national defense and security; protects resources and mine boundaries; enhances social responsibility, supports localities, and promotes community activities.

Accordingly, the Party Committee of Lam Dong Aluminum Company has set goals throughout the 2025 - 2030 term to build a sustainable and stable Company. Determined to successfully implement the goal of "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development"; build a clean and strong Party Committee and political system; build Lam Dong Aluminum Company - TKV to develop stably, sustainably, harmoniously and environmentally friendly; contribute significantly to the cause of building and developing the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group, developing Lam Dong province and the Central Highlands region.
