On the morning of August 23, at the Hanoi Opera House, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025). General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the ceremony.
Attending the ceremony were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; Politburo member, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Le Hoai Trung; Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, leaders and former leaders of central and Hanoi city departments, ministries, branches and organizations; ambassadors and representatives of a number of countries.

Over 80 years of construction and development, the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector has achieved many important achievements, making great contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. In recognition of these outstanding achievements, on August 22, 2025, the President signed a Decision to award the First Class Labor Medal to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Accordingly, in Decision No. 1671/QD-CTN, dated August 22, 2025 on awarding the Labor Medal, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam decided to award the First Class Labor Medal to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for its outstanding achievements in the field of preserving and promoting the values of Vietnamese cultural heritage in the period of 2021-2025, contributing to preserving the national cultural identity, serving the socio-economic development of the country.
